I want to inform you that we are performing routine maintenance on a block of servers at our Cimco facility on the nights of 10/29 and 10/30. The maintenance is necessary to provide all a more reliable and up to date backup power solution our all of our clients. If you are receiving this email you will be effected by this maintenance. Please EMAIL Hassan (hassan@xpresservers.com) for further information if you have any questions  in regards to how this will effect you as well as which specific servers will be effected.  The following cabinets will be effected:

10/29:

206.8, 206.10, 206.11, 206.12, 206.18, 206.21, 206.25, 206.26, 206.27, 207.8

10/30:

207.9, 207.10, 207.13, 207.15, 207.16, 207.18, 207.19, 207.25, 207.26, 207.27

What do you need to do beforehand?

  • Make sure you have created recent backups and downloaded them before 10/29

What exactly is going to happen?

Your server(s) will be powered off and then quickly powered back on. If we have the correct root/admin password on file, the server(s) should not be down for longer than 60 minutes.

As it is necessary to perform the maintenance one cabinet at a time, it is impossible to give an exact duration of down time.

The window for this operation will be 10 hours, from 6pm-4am CST, during which your server may go down any time in that window, but only once.

This maintenance is not optional, and we cannot make special considerations in order to ensure all clients the minimum amount of downtime possible.

We greatly appreciate your cooperation with this routine maintenance and should you have any specific questions please do not hesitate to ask.  Please EMAIL Hassan (hassan@xpresservers.com).
